CLUEPUZZLE: The Wonderbox of Alice - Hints and Solution

Your journey starts here.

Carefully lift the hook, and while holding it up, slide out the drawer that contains the puzzle pieces.

If the drawer doesn’t open, it means a puzzle piece is stuck inside. Gently shake the Cluepuzzle or move the drawer back and forth to release it.

To uncover the secret of the Wonderbox, the drawer must be cleared. Take out every puzzle piece to proceed.

Insert the rectangular puzzle pieces with the keys, the cat’s eyes, and the hatter into the matching slots.

Complete the Looking-Glass Room picture.

Look closely at the clocks in the picture.

Can you spot any moving parts?

Adjust the sticks so that the image becomes perfectly mirrored.

Can you find another movable element?

Press the arrow on the right side — the mirror will open.

Remove the mirror from the frame.

Can you fix the lock?

Slide the pin upward. The picture of the lock will become complete.

Slide the horizontal arrow at the bottom to the left.

The first layer is now unlocked. You can remove it by lifting it up.

Complete the Chessboard Land picture.

Follow the white arrow.

The arrows point to the drawer at the bottom — open it.

What do the drawings at the bottom of the drawer look like?

The same drawing as in the drawer is on the mirror you received in the Looking-Glass Room layer. If you place the mirror on each of the images, you will see the reflections of the chess coordinates.

From which side are the coordinates correct?

Can you find any parts that can be moved?

Pull out the pin with the arrow. The arrow on the pin shows that the correct mirror position is on the left.

Place the chess pieces according to the following coordinates:

White Knight: F5
Black Knight: E3
White Pawn: G7

Can you move any other parts on this layer now?

Press the arrow in the top left corner. The marbles visible in the nearby window will roll down.

The marbles are now visible in the lower viewing window. Slide the horizontal arrow towards the marble window.

The key with the crown icon slid out from the right side. Take it out.

The Chessboard Land layer is now unlocked. Remove it by pulling it up.

Complete the Rabbit-Hole picture.

You have the crown key from the previous level. Can you find the same symbol somewhere else?

The same symbol is on the bottom panel. Pay attention to the suits of the cards.

Insert the crown key as shown. Moving it right reveals numbers in the suits window — they show the sequence of moves.

Where else do you see card suits?

The round part in the center with Alice’s image can rotate. Pay attention to Alice’s hand.

1. Turn the knob counterclockwise until Alice’s hand points to the Hearts (♥) card.

2. Turn the knob clockwise until Alice’s hand points to the Spades (♠) card.

3. Turn the knob counterclockwise until Alice’s hand points to the Diamonds (♦) card.

4. At the top of the layer, there is a pin with the Clubs (♣) suit. Press and hold this pin, and while holding it down, push the arrow-shaped lever on the right downward.

The Rabbit Hole layer is unlocked and can now be removed.

Remove the clock hand from its holder. Gently pull it upwards and then towards yourself.

Complete the Caterpillar Clock picture.

The clock is missing a hand. Turn the small circle until the puzzle image aligns, then attach the minute hand to the holder.

Can you find symbols shaped like the ends of the clock hands somewhere else?

The drawings similar to the ends of the clock hands are located on the bottom panel. Where do the lines from the ends of the hands lead?

The lines from the hands lead to the sides of the puzzle box.

On each side there are 2 windows with drawings next to them. On one side the drawings refer to the minute hand, on the other side to the hour hand. They indicate the starting position of the hand and the position at which the lock will open.

When the drawer is moved back and forth, the symbols in the windows change. Can you determine which one is the starting symbol?

The long minute hand points to the straight leg of the caterpillar. Pull out the drawer until the straight leg of the caterpillar appears in the starting window.

The starting symbol for the minute hand is the straight caterpillar leg, and the unlock symbol is the leg tilted to the left.
Can you determine the corresponding symbols for the hour hand?

Do not move the drawer — look at the matching windows on the left side.

The starting symbol for the hour hand is the Roman numeral III, and the unlock symbol is the Roman numeral VIII.

Remove the big hand, rotate the small hand into position roman numeral III, then replace the big hand. Take care that the circle with the puzzle piece doesn’t move.

Rotate the hands together until the small hand points to Roman numeral VIII and the big hand points to the correct Caterpillar foot.

Press the arrow shown in the picture. Two keys will appear on the sides.

Shift the horizontal arrow left.

The last layer is unlocked.

You have obtained two keys on the clock layer. Where could you use them?

On the back wall there is a similar image of a key, and below it a recess of the same shape.

Place one horizontally into the slot and push right. Through the slot of the key, a hole can be seen.

Insert the second key into this hole.

Pay attention to the keys depicted on the back panel. Where else can you find them?

Matching half-key drawings appear on the drawer and in the side window of the Wonderbox.

Close the drawer and the lower half of the key will appear in the side window.

An arrow from the double-key symbol passes through the keyhole and points to the sliding divider.

Turn the key to the open position and keep it held. Then pull the divider out. You should hear something fall into the drawer.

Open the drawer and find the puzzle pieces. Can you put them together into a whole?

Attention: there should be 9 QR-code pieces. If you have fewer, some may be stuck and didn’t fall out. Look into the rear compartment and gently shake the Wonderbox.

If you put the puzzle together correctly, you will get a QR code. Can you scan it?

You can scan the QR code by tilting your phone at an angle and holding it close to the code from the side of the eye image.

Below you will find the quick solution of the CLUEPUZZLE: The Wonderbox of Alice. Use it if you want to open the Cluepuzzle without solving, for example to put a small present inside. If you only need a little help to move forward with your solution, use the "HINTS" tab instead.

To access the secret space without solving, you will need to use a thin metal object. e.g.:

Sim card eject pin
Paper clip
Needle
A piece of metal wire

Warning: DO NOT use a plastic or wooden object as it can break and get stuck.

Turn the Wonderbox so that the back side is facing you. On the right side surface, there is a small hole.

Insert a sharp object into the hole and press. The hidden compartment lid will open.

Attention: stack the QR-code pieces along the compartment wall (vertically). If placed horizontally, they may get stuck and won’t drop out when the final lock is opened.

Place your gift inside the compartment.

Close the cover and press until you hear a click. The Cluepuzzle is ready for the game.

Use this manual to reset the CLUEPUZZLE: The Wonderbox of Alice

Insert a sharp object into the hole on the right side of the Wonderbox and press slightly. The hidden compartment lid will open.

Place the QR code pieces into the opened compartment.

Attention: stack the QR-code pieces along the compartment wall (vertically). If placed horizontally, they may get stuck and won’t drop out when the final lock is opened.

Return the cover to its original position and press slightly. The cover will close.

Pull out the first part of the two-part key.

Slide the second part of the two-part key to the left, then take it out.

Insert the clock layer back into the Cluepuzzle.

Move the horizontal arrow at the bottom to the right.

Insert the keys back into the slots on the sides.

Press the slots on the sides and slide them into the clock layer.

Slide the vertical arrow up.

Remove the big clock hand.

Randomly turn the clock hand.

Remove the puzzle pieces.

Place the clock hand onto the protruding plastic part of the pointer and gently press it down so that the lower part of the clock hand fits into the recess.

Insert the Rabbit Hole layer back into the puzzle box.

Lift the arrow on the right side all the way up.

Remove the puzzle pieces from the Rabbit Hole layer.

Turn the knob randomly.

Insert the key with the crown icon into its designated slot.

Remove the puzzle pieces from the Chessboard Land layer.

Slide the horizontal arrow at the bottom to the right.

1. Set the plastic switches as shown in the picture: switch 1 – top position, switches 2 and 3 – middle position.

2. Press and hold the arrow in the top-left corner.

While holding the arrow pressed, turn the layer so that the balls roll into the designated compartment. Then release the arrow.

Slide one of the lower legs of the layer to the left; on the right side, a slot with the crown key will slide out. Take this slot and hold it with your hand.

While keeping the slot pulled out, place the Chessboard Land layer back into position. Slide the horizontal arrow to the right again.

Insert the Looking-Glass layer back into the Wonderbox.

Slide the horizontal arrow to the right. The layer is now locked.

Slide the pin down.

Insert the mirror into the frame. Close the mirror door and press it firmly with your finger. At the same time, pull the arrow on the right to the right. The door is now locked.
